And a nice evening
Assalamu aleikum wa rahmatullah all :) How are you doing? Almost weekend :)
I'm doing fine, alhamdulillah. I have been thinking about writing for several days, but I've just been so exhausted. I did what I know is best (if possible): cancel every appointment and take time without schedules. My nurse was so sweet, she called me many times and I didn't respond until she texted me she is worried (I'm horrible, I know :( ) so I then called her and told I'm just so tired with everything, and she just said ok, well then you don't have to come (: let's see in January. So alhamdulillah, I got no appointments or anything this December. I need this so bad.
Only thing that comes with this, is that I also can't see my friends so often.. if you read this, friend, know that I love you but I just can't do better right now. I need to hide at home until I feel better again, in sha Allah.
And today has been a nice day ❤
...
I promised you a fashion post, I remember.. But I'm again back at point fashion doesn't really spark anything in me. But maybe we could have a quick look at some of the Spring 2025 trends, in a hijab friendly way :) This is what I've gathered up so far:
1. Colours
Bright red (still), greens (still), browns (still), purples and baby pink
Also black and white, and cream
2. Prints
Houndstooth
Paisley (!)
3. Outerwear
Sporty jackets, anoraks
4. Elevated textures
Embellishments on skirts and pants
Flowers, tassels, beads, stones
5. Accessories
Brooches
Printed bags
Long socks / leg warmers
Layered belts (belt chains)
Floral lace gloves
And more is to come when we enter the season. Future fashion goes more and more towards just exploring your personal style. Upcyckling, re-inventing. Feeling happy being yourself. :)
Some might think also that hey, you give these advice but how do you dress yourself?
Sister you asked a very good question (lol). I dress very simply. It's always an abaya and a scarf and that's kinda it. Sometimes tunic or hoodie and pants, in colder weather I might add a cardigan. Colours go from black to beige to dark red, maybe something white or purple or orange. But yes, it's very simple. I am maybe a classic Scandinavian what comes to dressing, as I value comfort and an effortless look.
But I get inspired of different styles. I like romantic style, street style, dark academia aestetics, hippie looks and just something different..
.. so sometimes I add something special to my outfits, like mom's hand knitted patterned mittens or a balaclava, or an oversized shirt, or sometimes I just dress in full black or choose a vintage bag.
Maybe if I had an unlimited budget, I would dress more interesting, but also it's not only a budget issue. I'm still a minimalist, and I like my year round capsule wardrobe. I'm recycling more, so at some point if I feel like changing things, I might gift some clothes to a friend or donate them, and also rather buy new clothes second hand too.
But anyways!
What do you think? Comment down below :)

Other things I've been into is Penguin at Max, baking and eating cinnamon rolls, sleeping long hours, having some couples time which really improved my mood so much, and I have linked with my friends too. Sometimes it's just the little things painting the big picture, innit? Alhamdulillah. I hope I will be able to maintain this elevated mood and work my way through this pit I am in.. in sha Allah. I'm not really worried because I have my faith in Allah and His perfect timing and plan. ❤
Take care dears,
Aisha
