Take your time

 Assalamu aleikum wa rahmatullah everyone :) how's your weekend?


Greetings from the sofa corner. Today it was -16 here in Helsinki, Finland, and I did what I had to do as a Finn: go for a nice, crisp walk in the forest. I love the cold, at least these temperatures. More than -20 degrees starts to be too much, hehe. The walk did good, alhamdulillah. Even hubby said that my face looks brighter :) 

It feels good to just go out and enjoy my time. But I enjoy being at home too. We ate our dinner and then I baked some cookies with the ingredients I could find (cocoa cookies it is). Now the guys are sleeping, other in the bed and other in the curtains, and I made a nest in the corner of the sofa.

I'm on my period. This time it came early, I didn't even have time to think of a pregnancy test.

This is a big test for me. There's not much that I could do right now. Except keeping the hope up.

It is difficult, like tests are, and this is really wearing me out. But it also reminds me of the power of Allah swt: He gives to those He has written so, and others have to bear patiently their own destiny. And I have so many other blessings.. even if it's not the same. Not everyone's path is similar and mine has always had a lot of bumps on the road. Alhamdulillah still.

Past week has also been the Copenhagen fashion week and it's 20th birthday. I follow quite many influencer accounts in insta and there's lot of street style photos of the week. It's nice, it's my jam, but maybe bit too much sugar now even for me. :) I've been more on the minimal side with my style, went through my summer shoes and put most of them on sale on Vinted. 

There's lot of fun things going on in the fashion right now. Personal style keeps rising, there's polka dots, stripes and plaids, there's lace, there's layering. Red, blue, yellow. Brown too. 

I still live in sweatpants, just got another pair hehe. I like comfort, and warm and cozy. My wardrobe serves me now well, I find always a nice outfit to wear. I can mix everything, and always find a new combination, or then repeat an outfit which feels good and I feel confident in to wear. Haven't worn an abaya yet still! In sha Allah soon.

Yeah, time to take some time, and see what the outcome is. We are in the heart of the winter, but day by day the days get longer. Soon it will be Spring again, quicker than we notice. So let's take this time to be like the seeds on the ground, resting and getting ready to rise and bloom. :)

I've done mindfulness exercises every day, and focused a little more in this world and all that is going on currently. And right now I'm, once again, learning about the right balance.  ... Had a nice time

 Assalamu aleikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh each and every one :) how has your weekend been? I'm happy, alhamdulillah, I've had a very nice weekend. Yesterday I was out at bit, had lovely time. Today I walked to a nearby shopping mall, to a halal market to be specific, and bought few things for today's dinner. I made a Finnish dish, meatballs with mashed potatoes and some boiled green beans. I'll share my meatball recipe below (sorry, no pictures.. but if you are used to cook, you will succeed with this recipe in sha Allah). ... Alhamdulillah. I'm listening an instrumental version of the Algerian song "Aicha" and enjoyed some green tea. I've upgraded my teas and occasional coffees by making them in a high, thick glass. Instant coffee looks like a latte, instantly, lol :) Tea also tastes more refreshing from a glass. Hmm. Living with less

 Assalamu aleikum wa rahmatullah dears :) how has your week started? I had today the group I'm attending, the movement and relaxation one. I didn't go last week, didn't feel like it at all so I decided to pass. But it was good to go there today, it is definitely relaxing and I learn something new every time about my anxiety, and my body too. I noticed today that now when I have been going to the gym, my body is able to relax better. I don't get anxiety from moving, it feels natural and good. I didn't think I'd see results already, both the gym and the group, so alhamdulillah I am happy to get stronger. For those who wonder that who has to practice relaxing, well yeah I know it sounds silly but I guess mostly us who have struggled with mental health and trauma, have to learn some basic skills later in life.
