Happier

Assalamu aleikum wa rahmatullah :) how r u?

I'm waiting eagerly that I could write on the balcony. The weather is warm and sunny. We bought a set of two chairs and a table, it hasn't been delivered yet. I also added some soil in the order, so in sha Allah I will be able to set up our balcony garden too. I'm not sure yet what I'm gonna grow, probably some salads and then maybe some flowers too. I have experience in growing kidney beans, they were nice plants to grow so maybe I'll try some black eyed peas, because those I have already. Low budget, low stress gardening. More sunshine and relaxing. Also it will be nice for Suttis to be able to chill in the sun too. :)

Today I did my chores and went to market. I wore an abaya! Win :) I know it's just a dress, and islam is not only what we do outwardly, but I felt so pretty and also more connected to islam. I also listened an islamic lecture on my way to market. It was good. Small things but sometimes they mean so much.

I have been on this quest to find better imaan inside me, and it starts to show results. I like this spring vibe, it's doing good for me, alhamdulillah. Another wakening, wakening of my spiritual self. Nice. :)

About the skincare by the way, I have tried now both the Smuuti skin sunscreen and the glycerine/aloe serum. The sunscreen is so good, I don't get any reaction from it anymore and it's very pleasant to use as it has a light fluid consistency. Doesn't leave any marks on the skin and absorbs quickly.

The serum maybe needs more experimenting. I mixed about 1/3 of glycerine and 2/3 of aloe gel. The outcome is that it's a bit sticky. I will add more aloe gel once the bottle has some space. But the effect! Only by using it for two days about twice a day, I see that my fine lines have smoothened visibly. I wait that my beauty oil finishes, I want to try the bakuchiol oil in the mix too, because it also has anti age properties.

My husband asked about chemistry lessons in high school, hehe. I don't remember much from those, I liked the subject though. All these natural cosmetics stuff I've learned from trial and error, also with very frequent help of googling. It started as finding cure for my acne, and now I try to maintain a healthy skin and repair what can be repaired, in sha Allah. Also I like the affordability of home made cosmetics. It's like a hobby, and I also love my skin care routine, that's my way to pamper myself and feel good.

Next two days I have work in sha Allah. Usually I feel very restless before my work shifts, but now I feel more easy. I know my customer better now, and we have had good little trips to run errands, so I don't need to stress. I'm actively teaching myself to relax better and not to be in a state of constant worrying. It is a handful to learn but little by little, I think I'm going to the right direction.

And I need to take all the advantage of this good phase as I can. It might be that my anxiety will worsen, so I can never know. Taking the moment as it is helps. I just am so thankful right now. And happy ♡ ma sha Allah.

I'm sorry if I keep repeating myself. Sometimes I feel I don't have so much to give or add.. and I often go through similar loops and it's just the same day in different package. But I also hope this can be helpful to someone. I've been in such dark corners that a glimpse of light is so appreciated. And I wish to be that ray of light to you, my dear readers, at least on one of these good days.

Well, anyways.. Thank you for reading! Have a good week, and later then,

Aisha
