Forest gold

 Assalamu aleikum wa rahmatullah everyone :) how are u today?


I've had a good day so far, alhamdulillah, thanks for asking! :D I slept so well. I tend to have so vivid dreams that it makes me want to sleep in rather than wake up early. It's also a side effect of the medicine I use. But yeah, I had breakfast and then took a nap again.. then it was already time to pray and after prayer I had a nice walk in the forest. I just have a bit of a head ache so I have my cup of paracetamol this time.

I am very shy to go new places alone. Me? Can you believe that I have went by myself to Jamaica from Finland four times? Have lived my youth mostly going alone to places and parties? Hanged around with strangers from evenings to mornings? Have sung and performed poetry to a bar full of people, not even once of twice but many times?

I am still very shy, to go to new places alone. But I love an adventure.

Today I had a bit of an adventure when I went to explore a new forest route, and I can tell it was successful. I felt good about myself and hubby said "be careful" when I left and I was finally doing something exciting. I don't know should I hype this up so much but people with anxiety must understand. Sometimes very normal things can be really difficult to do. But anyways! I went to check the route and it was beautiful. This nearby forest area is a nature protection area, so it is very lush and there's a lot of birds. I saw some butterflies too, and could feel and smell the summer. 

It has been very rainy past two months and the hot weather hasn't yet started. And personally I haven't been feeling so well these months so summer just gave me more anxiety. 

But days like these are so important. I'm glad I went. Even if it was for an hour but most importantly, now I know I can go again. And that's the point. :)

Forest has always been my favorite place to be, since I was a kid. In forest you can just be yourself, just to be a human being and embrace the place you were made to be in. Forest is same time letting you be in calm and quiet, and also full of life, sounds, scents, greens and colors in the summertime. While I walk, I remember the names of the plants. Follow the butterfly which reminds me of my childhood summers, when we were always out playing the whole day every day. And then I feel kinda alright.

Now it's time to make some salad to go with the dinner, and some other chores, and then I'll relax before my husband comes home, in sha Allah. I hope you are having a nice day!
