Until next year

Assalamu aleikum wa rahmatullah all :) how have you been?

Alhamdulillah. Feeling better. Today I overcame myself and went to see a newly opened second hand shop in our neighborhood. Didn't find anything, but at least I went. I took a small walk after too. I can't say everything went perfect, because my anxiety sure knows how to kick in, but now afterwards I am glad I went.

This year is close to it's end. Do you celebrate? We don't, but I have eaten a decent amount of chocolate though if it counts.

This past year has been challenging. Good still, mostly, alhamdulillah. I have done a lot work with myself. And I'm ready to step into a new phase in my life. A phase where I am confident, and will live my life, doing things I like. I have battled with anxiety enough. I just can't live my life worrying and staying home rather than doing something I would enjoy. Of course you can't just stop having an illness with all its symptoms, but I will do my best, in sha Allah, to have some fun.

If last year was about getting used to a safe relationship and a real, life long marriage, balancing life and making long term moves, I wish next year could be about happy surprises, time for reflection, staying in the moment, and realizing my own potential. I want to be more free spirited and hide less. Time will tell what's it gonna be, but in sha Allah it's a learning point again.

So yeah, we don't celebrate Christmas so these coming days will be just some sort of holidays. I don't also plan anything for new year. Maybe make a potato salad with some frankfurters and call it a night.. I'm gonna keep a small break in writing too. Don't worry, it won't be long time. We'll meet again in January in sha Allah, with happy greetings.

I hope we all will get lots of smiles. I want us all to be happy for change. And things to change so we can be happy.

Welcome 2026 :) May Allah bless our days and nights, and let us learn through good times and blessings. Until next year dears,

Aisha
