Vitamin C skincare
Assalamu aleikum wa rahmatullahi dears :) how are u?
Writing is a form of therapy to me, so here I am again. Feeling better though alhamdulillah, but still I feel like my inner dialogue is a bit chaotic. Today I treated my stress with a walk w/ hubby, a half hour home workout and baking chocolate raisin cookies. And talked with mom and my friends.

I promised to tell you how the Ziaja cleansing gel is working, so here is my review of it and few more vitamin C skincare products.
1. Ziaja Vitamin C.B3 niacinamid Skin renewal face wash gel
I've used this now for few weeks. I think it's working on my skin pretty well. My skin is acne prone, but also sensitive, and this gel doesn't irritate my skin. It doesn't wash "too clean", it has a mild scent, and one pump is enough, it foams well. Remember to rub it on one minute! I will buy this again and also I want to test other products of the same skincare line. Thumbs up!
2. Herbina by Nature energizing Orange body lotion with cloudberry extract and vitamin C
I got this body lotion recently and I like it very much :) It's consistency is thick, but it absorbs fast. It has an orangey scent, but strangely also it smells like a cake too? Orange cake. Not bad. Then couple days ago I tried it on my face because I don't have a face cream. I've only used aloe gel and then my own mix of facial oil, and I've felt it's not enough. So I added this step in my routine and my skin looks more moisturized. I don't know if any lotion/face cream would have had same results, but anyways I'm gonna keep using this because it works. Also plus from being a Finnish brand, affordable, vegan, and 98% of ingredients are natural origin.
3. Herbina by Nature energizing Orange antiperspirant
Well, this has the same, a bit weird but in a good way, orange cake scent. Either you like it or you don't.. Working well. Plus for being alcohol free but minus of containing aluminum.
4. Homemade face mask with orange essential oil
Ingredients I used this time was nettle, neem, raspberry and rose powders, some honey and 10 drops of orange essential oil (+ water). I have made face masks with the same ingredients before, but now I added the orange essential oil. It kinda stung a bit, not gonna lie. I have it still left so next time I will add some castor oil to make it more friendlier to skin. Essential oils are good to use in skincare but they are very strong. Usually they are mixed with oil before adding them to the skin. I just didn't think.. But the face mask gently exfoliates and balances out my skin so no hard feelings.
What works for one, might not work for others is what comes to self made skincare. Be careful of what ingredients you use, and if you are not sure, you can start with something simple as honey. Honey will soften your skin and it has antibacterial qualities. Pro tip is to use it in sauna, you can rub honey all over yourself and then let it work it's magic in hot löyly :)
I also bought another vitamin C product... a vitamin drink effervescent tablets.. and it tastes exactly like Panadol Hot :( I was supposed to buy a multivitamin one anyway. So vitamin C doesn't always cheer you up I guess.
But yeah so, I think my skin looks brighter, feels softer and is starting to have that healthy glow. Nice :) and now say ma sha Allah, dear reader.
What are your skincare favourites at the moment?

It's soon time for maghrib, so I continue my evening here.. Thank you for reading! May Allah bless your days.
