Catching up

Assalamu aleikum wa rahmatullah all :) how are u?

I'm waiting to get more work shifts, so I had a day off today. Went to market and then I did some home chores, and had a cup of tea on the balcony. It's still quite cold, but weekend should be really warm in sha Allah :) first of May too.. how do you celebrate? We don't really, but I'm making a nice dinner anyway.

I noticed looking at the statistics that I have new readers from many different countries. I did an introduction of myself in my first first post, so I thought I could update it a bit. So here it is:

Aisha Elina, who is she?

- a writer, used to be a bit of a poet and a singer. I'm currently writing the second season of my blog, some might still remember the old one. It was similar to this, I write about my life and daily things, sometimes diving deeper and sometimes floating on the surface.

- a muslim revert of 11 years now. I follow the Sunni way, but in the end we are all muslims. I wear hijab, I pray, I fast. Like everyone, my iman is sometimes better and sometimes lower. I don't write islamic content, but like I said, I write about my life and of course islam is inseparable part of it.

- a wife. I have had my fair share of relationship problems and break up's in the past. Now I'm in a happy, stable relationship with my husband, and I am excited to see where life takes us.

- a person who has mental illness. I have schizophrenia, I was diagnosed when I was 19 years old, so it's been a while now (I'm now 37). I have had times without medication, I have been in the ward few times, and now I'm firmly on regular medication and I'm doing fine, alhamdulillah. I have never suffered from voices or hallucinations, but if I don't take my medication I will end up having psychosis. In daily life my friends and family don't even remember me having this illness, but I do struggle with some of the symptoms like anxiety. Also stress is not good for my wellbeing. I write frequently about these themes, because firstly, writing is a form of therapy to me, and secondly I want to take part in erasing the stigma connected to mental health problems.

I like

- cooking

- nature and animals (we have a Russian tortoise called Suttis as a pet!)

- long walks

- tea, all kinds of, hehe

- gardening on the balcony

- clothes and style

- travelling

- natural cosmetics and also making them myself

- free Palestine and all the people who face oppression

I'm interested also in

- herbal medicine

- vegetarianism/veganism (not one just yet)

- learning tajweed

- working out and exercising

I don't like

- judgemental attitudes

- crowds

- right wing politics and zionism

...

So yeah, I write twice a week, sometimes more and sometimes just greetings. This is my hobby so I want to keep it fun and meaningful for me and for you. I do write about more serious and deeper topics too. Basically this is like my diary :) so you're welcome to follow and leave a comment too :) Remember also that I do guard my privacy and I know what I share and what not, so this is not my whole life.

Ok, I think this was all for now.. I gotta go back to the balcony for a while to take some sun :) take care dears and thank u for reading! ♡

Aisha
